Kentucky welcomes visitors to embark on an adventurous journey through its “Kentucky Capitals Quest,” a novel passport initiative designed to spotlight the state’s distinct and intriguing titles. This program showcases everything from Oldham County’s enchanting fairy forest and miniature castle to Winchester’s historic viewpoint where Daniel Boone first glimpsed Kentucky, along with diverse capitals such as the Beer Cheese Capital and many more.

The quest highlights 11 diverse locales, each celebrated for its unique specialty:

• Frankfort: Historic Heartbeat of Kentucky
• Hopkinsville: Batter Capital of the World
• Lexington: Horse Capital of the World
• London-Laurel Co.: Cycling Capital of Kentucky
• Morehead-Rowan Co.: Muskie Fishing Capital of the South
• Oldham Co.: Farm Tour Capital of Kentucky
• Owensboro: Bluegrass Music Capital of the World
• Paducah: Quilt Capital of the World
• Somerset-Pulaski Co.: Houseboat Capital of the World
• Winchester: Beer Cheese Capital of the World

Each destination not only boasts a title but also offers a wealth of activities and sights. For example, visitors to Bowling Green can delve into automotive history at the National Corvette Museum, dine at the Stingray Grill, and experience the thrill of the NCM Motorsports Park. Travelers can obtain a passport at any of the 11 designated visitor centers, collecting stickers from each capital. Those who gather six stickers earn a prize, and completing all 11 earns the prestigious title of Kentucky Capitals Quest Ambassador, making every trip a memorable quest for discovery and enjoyment in the Bluegrass State.
